Career route

Many CCTV operations are in single or small sites or can be based at the entrance or reception of many offices, stores, factories and other sites.

Others may take place in a central control room where there is a bank of screens linked up to the premises’ CCTV cameras.

The role will involve looking out for unusual behaviour to help protect staff and members of the public and guard against theft, vandalism or other illegal activities.

The role includes reporting incidents, liaising with your wider security team and potentially contacting the police and emergency services.
