On Wednesday 9th March, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP, delivered his first Budget to the House of Commons. In light of this, Skills for Security has created its own ‘Budget Factsheet’ to highlight the key points of the budget affecting education, training and apprenticeships.

“This budget is a huge step forward in prioritising the link between skills and sustained economic growth, I particularly welcome the Chancellor acknowledging that the government’s 3 million apprenticeships target remains a key plank of its skills policy,” enthused Peter Sherry, Interim Director General of Skills for Security.
